Seattle folk-rock band Fleet Foxes was named best live act by Mojo magazine at its annual awards ceremony in London.
Fleet Foxes beat Leonard Cohen, Seasick Steve, Paul Weller and Radiohead to the live award, although they lost out in the other two categories for which they were nominated. Kings of Leon, nominated for two awards, did not win anything.
Paul Weller's "22 Dreams" (Island/Universal) was named best album, while the song of the year went to "One Day Like This" by Elbow from the Fiction/Polydor set "The Seldom Seen Kid."

Artists like the Eagles and Christina Aguilera can now play DJ, at least online.
Clear Channel Radio and Front Line Management are creating artist personal experience (a.p.e.) radio, a stand-alone company that will allow musicians to produce their own online radio shows, Billboard can exclusively reveal.
The channels will run 24 hours a day and play songs chosen by the artist, interviews and commentary. The program will launch in July with the Eagles, Aguilera and Weezer.
Mastodon have unveiled the video for Crack the Skye’s opening track “Oblivion,” and — as you’d expect from a loose concept album about a paraplegic and Russian czar Rasputin facing off against Satan in outer space — the Roboshobo-directed video is similarly out there, with the members of Mastodon one by one leaving the safe confines of their spaceship to rescue their marooned bandmates.
Nine Inch Nails‘ Trent Reznor may have Twittered for the last time. The recently outspoken frontman contributed a post to the official NIN.com message board in which he confesses his disappointment in the overall negativity of online communities, writing, “We’re in a world where the mainstream social networks want any and all people to boost user numbers for the big selloff and are not concerned with the quality of experience.”
Last night at London’s jam-packed Brixton Academy a slice of metal history was revisited, and a new chapter began. Mike Patton, Roddy Bottum, Billy Gould, Mike “Puffy” Bordin and Album of the Year-era guitarist Jon Hudson (stepping in once again for Jim Martin) returned to the stage after 11 years as Faith No More.
In one of the strangest collaborations you’ll hear this year, Lady Gaga has recruited Marilyn Manson to contribute vocals to the remix of her dance-floor anthem “LoveGame.” Perez Hilton is streaming the hyperactive remix now, and posted some photos of the pair in the studio.
